Thanksgiving Celebration 2016

Event details

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!

At the Providence Academy, students learn to thank God for the gift of life and for the good things He provides.

The objective of this year’s Thanksgiving celebration was to live in a time of giving and sharing through the framework of this school year’s theme “Gratitude and Gratuitousness”. Like every year, the students were well prepared for this celebration.

Thus everyone has participated in the mass celebrated at Saint Sebastian Church on October 7, which was attended by the educational community as well as a few parents and parishioners. After the word of congratulation and encouragement of the celebrant, Reverend Father Fredette, the students ended this celebration by a Thanksgiving song!

After the Eucharistic celebration, to the rhythm of the song “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, his steadfast love endures for ever”, the students gathered together in the lobby of the Academy to share a snack provided by the parents.

Thank you to Father Fredette for his welcome and to the parents for their generosity! Thank you to the teaching team, especially teachers of languages and arts for the quality time spent teaching concrete gestures of gratitude! Thank you to the organizing committee for the success of Thanksgiving Day spent in the joy of sharing and thanking the “Lord thrice- Holy God,” with a grateful heart!
