Thanksgiving Celebration 2014

Time of prayer, celebration and sharing

Enjoying our 2014 Thanksgiving

At Providence Academy, students learn to live a time of deep prayer and sharing great experiences.

The feast of Thanksgiving in early autumn is a joyful occasion that allows our students to experience a time of deep prayer and great experiences of sharing with joy and simplicity.

Indeed, the Friday prior to Thanksgiving, students, young and old, participated in the Eucharistic celebration that took place in the Church of Saint Sebastian. The educational community, some parents and parishioners attended the mass as well. This participation, led by liturgical songs, reading and communion, was followed by a “Shared Snack” held in the lobby of the Academy. The joyful laughter and generous spirit of sharing filled the Providence.

Mrs. May Boutros, a member of the organizing committee of the event, did not fail to write a prayer for the event that stimulates, among students, religious awakening and the sense of community, “Thank you Lord for this beautiful day, for my family, my roof, my food, my health, my safety and my well-being. Thank you for those moments of grace, for the joy shared and efforts rewarded and dreams realized. Thank you Lord for the great gift of loving and being loved. Amen! “

The whole event ended by breaking the “Piñata” hung in the playground of the school. And the shower of candy began!
