Cycle 1 – Learning to Think, Imagine, and Dream

The choice of a painter, the presentation of his biography, and the style of his period, together form one of the objectives of the artistic culture offered to the students of the 1st cycle.

René Magritte, a Belgian painter, depicted in many of his paintings, often in his suit and his bowler hat, was Mrs. Renée Ojail’s choice for her MS (JK).

As for the GS (SK), Sr. Suzanne Osta, homeroom teacher, chose Joan Miró, a Spanish painter who was passionate about art and creativity at a very early age. The students have learned that their artist entered the School of Fine Arts and became a painter, a sculptor, an engraver, a ceramist, and ended up devoting his life to art.

It was wonderful to end the school year in style and colour! Congratulations to the students, the future painters, and many thanks to your teachers who have contributed to putting art at the heart of the Providence Academy of the Antonine Sisters..
