Our scientists of the world of objects and matter

The objectives of the 2019 Science Fair for cycles 2, 3 and 4 students were exploring the world of matter and objects, acquiring science and technology skills and learning to innovate.

In collaboration with the teaching team, their Science teachers had planned projects and experiments aimed at exploring the fantastic realm of chemical changes and physical phenomena by encouraging their students to use language, tools and research methods appropriate to this field.

Thus, in the physical domain, important questions were subject to observation or experimentation such as a volcano under water, the effect of hot and cold, the power of emptiness, the crystallization of salt, the key charger, the reflected beam, the dancing balls, a potato battery, the layers of the Earth in the geological field, the different continents, what is a comet composed of, tsunamis, volcanic earthquakes, the composition and operation of the computer, light signals and their application for shipwrecked marine accidents, and the catalysts. In the domain of matter the topics examined were the experiment of the candle, acid base reactions, super absorbent polymers, and Vitamin D and Advil in the pharmacological field. This all, clearly titled and amply documented, allowed students to distinguish a brief description demonstrating the steps of the scientific process.

Bravo, our “future scientists” for the seriousness with which you have conducted your research and experiments! Congratulations to your parents and teachers! A sincere thank you to the members of the educational team supervised by Sr. Nisrine, especially Mr. Chadi Selim, Mrs. Manale Soueid and Mrs. Carmen Maalouf for the right choice of subjects, and to Mrs. Mireille Bechara, Mrs. Rana Chamoun and Mrs. Liseby Liris for their precious support !
