“Speakers in the making” 2019

Event details

Where there is a will, there is a way, everything is learned, everything is taught, and everything is heard. We must work to master everything. Whether you work quickly or slowly, you must do it right. These were the messages suggested by cycles 3 and 4 students for the public speaking activity.

The students, under the supervision of their teachers Mrs. Liseby Liris, Mrs. Mireille Béchara and Mrs. Amal Jabbour, were divided into several sub-groups and interpreted skits and poems centered on the theme “Where there is a will, there is a way” in its association with a job well done, perseverance, honesty, and happiness without forgetting to mention obstacles and difficulties to overcome. Happiness is not to have what you want, but to appreciate what you have achieved after so many trials and experiences.

That is how Santa Claus, in the skit of his trial, was sentenced by the judge of the court of justice to do community work consisting of continuing to distribute gifts for another two thousand years. The instructions given by the teacher to the students to acquire and succeed emphasized that school homework should be done carefully: “Do It Right! Family and school are essential for our education. Do not neglect the school of life to which everything is learned, everything is taught, everything is heard. Success depends on our will.

Congratulations to our “Speakers in the making” for their excellent eloquence which is evident in the great public speaking presentations performed in three languages! Congratulations to their proud parents! Thanks to their teachers for all the efforts made to meet the objectives of this activity! “Do what you have to do well” seems to have been acquired by our speakers.
