A Very Special Day!
Thanksgiving 2022 – A Very Special Day!
“Give thanks with a grateful heart!” sang the students of the Providence Academy at the top of their lungs during the mass celebrated on Friday, October 7 by Father Maurice Richard, at St. Ignatius the Martyr Parish, located in the vicinity of the school.
To the rhythm of beautiful songs interpreted by the crystalline voices of the students, the celebration was followed by our traditional snack-sharing activity which was held harmoniously in the hall and the gymnasium of the Academy. This was achieved thanks to the generosity of the parents and the gracious service of the administrative team and the school’s senior classes supported by a group of former Providence Academy students from the Lycée Claudel, the Collège catholique Samuel-Genest, the École secondaire catholique Franco-Cité, Immaculata High School, The Collège Saint Joseph de Hull, and the University of Ottawa who participated in this special celebration. “Give thanks with a grateful heart, Give thanks to the Holy One, Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son! And now let the weak say “I am strong”, Let the poor say, “I am rich, because of what the Lord has done, for us!” was the main song in which the parishioners joyfully participated.
Many thanks to Father Maurice Richard for his generous benevolence and his great homily! Thank you to the parishioners for their joyful participation in this beautiful celebration! Thank you to the parents for their generosity and the delicious food! Thank you to the administration and educational team for this time of beauty, socialization, sharing and grace! Thank you to the divine Providence who watches over the Providence family! private french school in ottawa
