The scene starts with a confident invitation to the children of the world to believe in Christmas, on this Christmas Day, by looking at the earth or the sky, and silencing guns. This request was followed by “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” / “Glory to God, in the highest” whose verses in English were: ” Angels we have heard on high, Singing sweetly through the night, And the mountains in reply, Echoing their brave delight. Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing; Come, adore on bended knees Christ, the Lord, the new-born King.
He, the unique Word, wanted to be born in this manger.”
This presentation was immediately followed by the choir joined by all the students singing “O Holy Night”, “Jeyi L layli Yassou3” and “Deck the Halls”. The recital ended with a Medley which was sung along by the audience to interpret: “Silent Night, Holy Night”, “Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year”, “Feliz Navidad, Prospero y felicidad” and “I want to wish you a Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart”.
Congratulations, dear students of the higher cycle! Thank you to the teaching team that accompanied you, Mrs. Sabaya Farjon and Mr. Toni Yazbec in particular! May the Divine Child bless and protect you, your parents, and teachers !
